PHARMA TECH COMPLETES TWO-SITE, MULTI-PRODUCT TECH TRANSFER FOR NUTRITIONAL PRODUCT FROM TOP-TEN GLOBAL PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY

Pharma Tech recently completed a two-site, multi-product technology transfer to manufacture and package a global nutritional product for one of the world's top ten pharmaceutical companies.  The project involves producing two product variations and packaging in two formats.

At Pharma Tech's Union, MO location, the project will utilize a new building designed for nutritional and OTC digestible products, as well as a recently-installed high-speed bottling line capable of producing 150 finished units per minute.  The 10-piece bottling line is equipped with premium metal detection and weight inspection systems, and can take ingestible products straight through the bottle filling, labeling and case packaging process.  Capable of processing approximately 10,000 lbs. of material per hour, the line is housed in a production room built to International Organization for Standardization Class 8 ISO8/100,000 clean room standards.
At Pharma Tech's Royston, GA plant, the project will utilize a 10-lane stick pack machine for the packaging of powders as well as a tote blender for flavoring addition.  Both the packaging and blending operations utilize state-of-the-art ISO 8 designed clean rooms.

Both locations offer global brand owners significant capacity for additional nutritional and OTC digestible products.

COMPANY SPOTLIGHT
PHARMA TECH PROMOTES MATTHEW MILNER TO DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS
Pharma Tech is pleased to announce that Matthew Milner, who has been involved in supply chain operations at the company since 2008, has been appointed to Director of Supply Chain Operations.

In his new role, Matthew will oversee Pharma Tech's strategic approach to supply chain management and customer service, including capacity analysis, best practices for planning and order fulfillment, commercial project management and high-level inventory management.  Reporting to Matthew will be the customer relationship managers at each of Pharma Tech's facilities.

Matthew also will act as a conduit to Pharma Tech's Leadership Team from the company's latest service addition: its Supply Chain Security System.   Introduced following an analysis of incoming calls, the updated protocol creates a shorter path to Pharma Tech's Leadership Team for especially urgent matters.  Headed by CEO Tee Noland, the Leadership Team makes expedited recommendations to Pharma Tech's Technology Transfer and Supply Chain Teams, which then fleshes out a detailed plan of action, cost estimates, etc.

"Pharma Tech''s proven ability to closely collaborate with customers to find creative solutions to manufacturing and packaging challenges demonstrates the brand stewardship the company has historically taken in their approach to customer satisfaction," said Noland.  "Matthew has been an integral part of this client-first culture for several years, and his promotion to Supply Chain Director is very well deserved."
